3.0 General Recommendations

Always code for clarity (R)


The number one concern when designing is clarity. You must make sure that when some other programmer later comes in to make changes, the chances of introducing bugs is low. This can only be achieved if the programmer can understand the functionality of the code.

If performance is a problem, consider clear alternatives first. Heavily document less clear alternatives.
